Nanda Devi Women’s Festival 2005

Following up on the first successful Nanda Devi Women’s Festival that coincided with the Thirtieth Anniversary of the Reni Incident, Gram Sabha Lata broadened out the themes of its second Nanda Devi Women’s Festival to recognize the achievements of the region’s women, men, and children. Due to unusually heavy snowfall this year, most of the festivities were held on the 4th February.
